This eagle had been scavenging on the side of the road when it was hit by a car.  Eagles are often opportunistic feeders, especially during the winter months when food is more scarce. This young opossum was also found at the side of the road.  She'd been hit by a car and her leg was broken.  She healed though, and was released!
Some baby raccoons scope out their new surroundings. Their mother had been hit by a car.
sleepy coons!
This mink was found by the side of the road.  I actually thought he was dead until he lifted up his head to look at me as I walked up!  He had a broken pelvis but healed nicely and was released on an isolated section of the Manistee river.
This porcupine came in with an upper respiratory infection and secondary injuries. She was treated with antibiotics and was released a short while later. Fawn under heat lamp
