INTRODUCING
Boudica Monique

Great Horned Owl, Boudica (a Celtic warrior name that means victory),
and American Kestrel, Monique.
Both have come to us from Flint Creek Wildlife Rehab Center in Barrington, Illinois.

They are in training as education birds. Monique is blind in one eye, and Boudica sustained a shoulder injury that prevents flight.

Both birds debuted at our spaghetti dinner (04/13/07).
We look forward to them joining our staff of wildlife ambassadors.
.

IN MEMORY OF
ELLEN:

Our Great Horned Owl,
after many years of education service,
died of old age. ( June / 06 )
She contributed greatly
to understanding the importance
of conservation and wildlife protection.

She will be missed.
